I did it again - packed too much into one weekend.

Friday I worked in the morning and went to the Royal in the evening with T. and Rya. I had a good time again. The retriever trials were very cool, nothing I'd ever seen before. Those are some surprisingly intelligent dogs. Rya was such a little angel (though she doesn't like the subway). She loved the baby chicks, and was absolutely adorable in the petting zoo. I hope the pictures turn out. After the petting zoo, we washed our hands, just like the big signs suggested, then we ate. We wandered a bit more, ate a bit more, and then we'd seen enough and started the trek back to the car at Yorkdale.

Saturday we went to the TKD tournament. So many people. I was intending to volunteer, but I ended up just paying my $5 and spectating. Our guys didn't fight until late afternoon (4ish) so it was a long day. They all did really well, and Chris got an excellent picture of Pat kicking some guy in the head (or getting kicked in the head, I can't remember). Good picture, anyway. It kinda made me wish I was fighting, but at the same time, my nerves can't take the waiting around. Got home around 6:15, slept 'til 8:30 when D. dragged me to the grocery store and to Samura for supper. We came home and watched Saved! which is so freaking funny. I'd heard different things - some thought it was great, some thought it was okay - I thought it was hilarious and I would totally buy the DVD to watch over and over. I need to take it home for Mom and Dad to see; a number of our friends would find it funny too (yes, T., I'm thinking of you). Mandy Moore and Macaulay Culkin were surprisingly good - everyone else was no-names and they are always awesome; you need way more talent to get a role as a no-name than you do if you're famous, I think.

Sunday we slept in, then went our separate ways. D. went back to the TKD tourney to watch the black belts, and I went to the K-W Nano write-in. I didn't get much written though, we were having way too much fun talking. I'm going to have to seriously bust my ass - there's no way I'm going to be halfway by Tuesday - sorry Guelph Nanoites! I still have hope of winning though - my pace is picking up (and so is the story, thank god!) I'm at the stage where the whole thing is in my head, I just can't get it written down. Anyway, I came home and wrote after the get-together.

I guess it wasn't quite such a busy weekend as last week, but I'm just as exhausted by it.
